If it could be possible to support simple esp8266 interface this could open a whole new possibilities of online gaming.

Can you buy one with a C64 port adapter?
If there really is demand for this then i can look into it.

I think everyone use it nowdays for c64 wifi projects ,even in our retroclub .info local club we have made some
projects around this fantastic CHEAP module! <10USD

It would be the most wanted features I rhink.
the only draw back I can think is the speed as this is a serial module/ What speed do you think is right for your online gaming racing project ?

(Also I am thinking of connecti 3 c64 online in an upcoming retro-event we will have in a moth here in our town!)

Combined the ESP-8266 ( or ESP-32 ) and a UP9600 RS-232 Card and might be able to fast enough synchronization with the Server.

We all would like to see esp8266 compatibility mode!

May be we can make an esp8266 emulate RR-net ορ ΕΤΗ64 or better 8BIT-DUDE find some time developing some code for esp8266 compatibility
